About J&S Jacks

J&S Jacks began in the summer of 1995 when we (Jim & Steve, brothers), were fed up with kneeling and crawling next to our bikes to maintain them. With each of us having over 30 years experience in riding, maintaining, and storing our motorcycles, we knew exactly what we were looking for in a motorcycle lift. We decided to build our own because there was no motorcycle jack on the market we could trust with our cherished bikes. And thus, the idea for the Big Wheel Motorcycle Lift was born.

The first motorcycle lift we developed turned out to be a 150 lb. behemoth that worked well but lacked stability. The bike needed to be strapped down. This wasn't good enough for two relatively inventive guys, like us.

So we started over and finally came up with a motorcycle lift that can raise our Harley-Davidsons off the kick stand without ever touching the bike. Even better, the stability is so impressive, we can elevate the motorcycle to the full 18 inch height and climb up and put our full weight on the handle bars with legs hanging along the front forks. We can also sit on the back seat and literally bounce around on the seat while the bike is on the motorcycle lift, without any straps or hold downs of any kind. The bike remains rock solid on the lift.
